Cebu Mystics Market: The 1st gathering of Magic Makers in the South.
When I found out that October 31 will fall on a Saturday this year 2026, I did not hesitate and told myself that it was the best time to organize the 1st Cebu Mystics Market. I was very excited, I remember. A similar event in Manila called Mystival by Ms. Len Beltran inspired me to do this, and I am so eager to bring the same concept to Cebu – to create a safe space, to create a community, and to create home for people like me who love these side of things.

For the first time in Cebu, we brought together a community of mystics, tarot readers, crystal lovers, spiritual practitioners, artisans, and curious souls under one roof.
It was an attempt to create something different, something meaningful, and something that would allow people to explore a side of Cebu’s mystic community that had yet to be fully celebrated.

Truthfully, there was excitement, uncertainty, and a little nervousness behind every decision. Creating an event of this kind for the first time was never going to be easy.
We wondered how people would receive it, whether the community would embrace the concept, and whether our vision would translate into something real. and who would we invite? we don’t have the directory of practitioners or mystic vendors in Cebu.
But then it happened. Everyone gathered and heard our call.

The doors opened, people came, stories were shared, fortunes were read, crystals found new homes, and strangers discovered familiar energies in one another. What started as an idea slowly became a gathering filled with warmth, curiosity, connection, and magic.

Perhaps that was the most beautiful part of it all. Cebu Mystics Market was never just about selling mystical treasures or offering readings. It was about creating a space where people could be unapologetically curious, celebrate their beliefs, express their individuality, and find a sense of belonging.

We were amaze that it happened. Who would have thought? There was a market for this in Cebu, and it was not the cosplayer type of market, affluent people in Cebu dropped by curious as everyone else. It was something that I did not expect.
Looking back, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. To everyone who believed in this vision, to our vendors, readers (especially to my very good friend Niki Vizcarra), healers, practitioners, friends, and visitors, and most of all my interns – Trisha, Zyle, Marc, Kristel, Myka, Caitlin, Derek, Kent and staff, Will and Allan, thank you for giving life to something that once existed only in our imagination. Congratulations to us!

Our first gathering may be over, but the feeling remains.

Sometimes, all it takes is one brave idea, a community willing to believe, and a little bit of magic to make something extraordinary happen.
Cebu, you made our first chapter magical. And we hope this is only the beginning.
